Aroha Wine are delighted to invite to you to a New Zealand Wine Tasting and Dinner.
The wonderful Caviar House & Prunier, Genève, are opening their doors for an evening with Andrew Donaldson, founder of Akitu Wine, and Brad Butterworth, founder of Butterworth Estate.
Andrew Donaldson is a Wanaka native who returned home to grow Pinot Noir. He purchased a Mount Barker property in 2000 and planted Pinot Noir vines 380m above sea level. The haunting Akitu Pinot Noirs have won many awards, and in recent years a Pinot Noir Blanc has been added to the collection: we will have the opportunity to taste it alongside the Prunier's caviar.
Brad Butterworth is a renowned sailor and four time winner of the America's Cup. Brad and his family are the custodians of the Julicher Vineyard, situated in the celebrated Te Muna Valley, Wairarapa. The Estate produces outstanding Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir which we will be tasting together, alongside dishes specially prepared by Caviar House & Prunier.
The evening begins with a Champagne reception at 6pm, followed by a tasting of 7 premium New Zealand wines from Akitu Wine, Wanaka, and Butterworth Estate, Te Muna. Wines will be paired with canapés from Prunier's wonderful selection, followed by dinner, desserts and coffee.
