Description
From the winemaker…
Lifted aromas of toasted hazel and cashew nuts greet the nose with bright citrus notes supported by a subtle complex layer of well integrated vanilla oak nuances. A long and powerful palate showing excellent weight and lingering aftertaste of lemon curd, pink grape fruit, almonds and brioche.
A rich textural wine well suited to a wide range of foods.
2017 Sacred Hill Reserve Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay
Why we like it…
The grapes for the Reserve Chardonnay are harvested from the Rifleman’s Terraces, the same plot as for the famous Riflemans Chardonnay. Barrel fermented and aged on its lees, this is a weighty and complex wine – fantastic value for money.
