From the winemaker…
Aromas of freshly rubbed herbs, tropical fruit salad of pineapple, mango, passionfruit dominate the palate. The acid backbone of the Te Muna Valley is layered upon, complementing the mid palate richness from the time on fluffy lees. This Sauvignon Blanc has a powerful length, making it perfect for oysters on the deck, overlooking the ocean.
Working with local grape growers, Layline gives us the opportunity to make wines in the same high quality style as our Single Vineyard Butterworth Collection from various vineyards in the Martinborough Region.
A pure example of tank fermented single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc made from hand harvested fruit. Tropical fruit salad with freshly rubbed sage, this wine exhibits Te Muna Road’s bright acidity and mouth filling texture.
Pristine and brightly expressed, the bouquet shows Granny Smith apple, fig, lemon peel and jasmine notes, leading to a juicy palate displaying excellent vibrancy and persistency. It’s flavoursome and succulent with plenty of tasty flavours. 91pts Sam Kim Wine Orbit
