From the winemaker…
Aromas of grapefruit pith, freshly cut pineapple, crushed herb jump from the glass, accented by exotic cardamom from the mortar and pestle.
The Te Muna Valley acidity is evident immediately, followed by the combination of mouth filling richness from the time on lees and the phenolic edge providing length to the wine.
Blackcurrant leaf, pineapple, and mandarin pith combine with the vanilla bean of the French oak on the nose. The palate showcases the Te Muna racy acid line, with a richness from the wine’s time on full lees.
Complex, distinctive, varietal, fresh, youthful, herbaceous and powerful bouquet. Aromas and flavours of grapefruit, fresh basil and sage, apple and white fleshed tropical fruits. Youthful, tense, crisp, salivating, refreshing and dry. Persistent with a core of fruit and fresh herbs, a stony mineral layer and tangerine, grapefruit finish. Well made, in fact delicious, best drinking from purchase through 2024. 95 Points OUTSTANDING Cameron Douglas MS
