Aroha Wine

Screwcaps used to be the closure of choice for cheaper wines, but not any more!

Cork taint impacts roughly 5% of wines. There are other problems associated with its natural variability – namely random oxidation and varying oxygen transmission which can lead to uneven ageing.

Screwcaps have become mainstream – particularly in the new world.  They’re popular among wine drinkers as they’re easier to open and store, and are preferred by many winemakers and importers as they allow fewer faults to occur in the wine.

So from us it’s a thumbs up for screwcaps, what do you think?
