Distinctively Wairau Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Intense and concentrated flavours of ripe tropicals, gooseberry, lychee and citrus fruits hang off an elegant acid line that flows through this wine. A seamless textural element appears in the mid palate bringing a seriousness to a juicy and energetic wine.
The 2020 Sauvignon Blanc is comprised of Wairau Valley fruit. The Wairau Valley contributes grapefruit aromatics and passionfruit characters. The Awatere Valley adds the crisp acidity and distinct minerality that put Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs on the map.
This wine is made by Martinborough Vineyards, they have sourced their Sauvignon Blanc grapes from certified sustainable vineyards across the Cook Strait in Marlborough. Typically intense and concentrated, the Russian Jack Sauvignon Blanc showcases gooseberry and lychee flavours supported by aromas of lime blossom and elderflower. Incisive citrus acidity provides a clean finish.
